Description
The event is divided into a first part of presentations by researchers from different disciplines: ecology, urbanism, agronomy, geography, economics. They are all united in their analysis of traditional agricultural and livestock practices as ecologically sustainable. They are members of the Local Food Policy Network and have been working for years on the impact of agricultural and urban policies on the landscape. In the second part, there will be a round table discussion with other Politecnico colleagues who are members of the Local Food Policy Network. The round table will be coordinated by Giacomo Pettenati, who together with Paola Branduini leads the Food and Landscape group within the Local Food Policy Network.
Educational project
The seminar is intended to be an in-depth discussion on sustainable landscape practices. In particular, it will discuss the positive effects of agro-ecological practices on the landscape, the production of food and services, how they can be supported by technological innovation, and how their positive effects can be extended and made effective within the various landscape policies.
