Description

The master is organized in different modules, each of them related to one of the following areas: - Area 1: Public Administration Trends. These modules address the future scenarios of public administration. Particular emphasis will be given to potentialities and limits of technologies (ie. Cloud, maching learning, blockchain..) - Area 2: Tools and methods of public managers. These modules addresses specifically the management engineering competences that wants to provide managers with operating tools to operate within public sector institutions: project management, change management, public finance, public procurement and people management. - Area 3: Managing artificial intelligence. These modules provides competences and tools to understand and properly manage AI. These module comprise the following: AI and internal organization, AI and service design, AI and public policy.

Educational project

The master aims at providing public mangers with the skills and competences on the usage of artificial intelligence within public sector institutions, with particular reference to the usage of technology to support internal processes, the redesign of services and the planning and control of public policies. In particular, the master aims at addressing three main effects connected with the usage of artificial intelligence: - The effects of AI on the redesign of internal work practices, with particular reference to collaborative tools and approaches to redesign processes, opportunities and obstacles related to smart working - The effects of AI on the redesign of public services, posing particular emphasis on the opportunities related with the engagement of users since the earlier phases of service design - The effects of AI on the planning, monitoring and evaluation of public policies thanks to the possibility to leverage on real time and atomic data that can enhance punctual policies.

Requirements

Candidates with a Master of Science can be eligible. For international applicants, the equivalent qualifications of the respective university systems will be considered
