The Visiting PhD status can be granted, upon request by a Politecnico di Milano faculty member, to doctoral candidates enrolled at other universities—either in Italy or abroad—who wish to conduct a research period of more than one month at our institution, outside of specific mobility agreements.
This opportunity is aimed at doctoral candidates interested in collaborating with research groups at Politecnico di Milano on shared scientific topics. Exchanges must be arranged directly with a faculty member at the university, who will act as the scientific supervisor during the visit.
The entire process is managed by the department of the proposing faculty member, which provides support for the procedures necessary to activate the Visiting PhD position.
