Educational project
Museums look after us. They are no longer merely places for preserving, protecting, and promoting the value of their collections, but active hubs within their local social fabric. They are places capable of welcoming, stimulating, entertaining, and captivating: in short, catalysts for cultural wellbeing. The OSM itself has recognised the therapeutic value of the arts for years now, and museums are integrated into these public social infrastructures active in the prevention and improvement of quality of life. Welcoming places where new practices aimed at community and cognitive wellbeing can be developed, in a variety of unexpected ways, from ‘museum prescriptions’ to participatory practices.
