Description
The course comprises 120 hours, divided into three-hour modules, with lessons once a week in the morning and afternoon, for a total of 20 days, including 17 theoretical lessons and three practical trainings. Classes will be taught in English. Teachers have been selected for their expertise and teaching skills. In-person attendance is encouraged, but is only mandatory for the three-day practical internship at the end of the course. With the exception of the practical training, classes can also be attended online. All participants will have access to video recordings of the lessons, presentations, and course materials, which can be downloaded from the website with a personal password.
Educational project
The POLIMI European Patent Litigation Certificate is a course accredited by the UPC Administrative Committee (Decision D-AC/07/19072024_E 19 July 2024 of the Administrative Committee), aimed at qualifying participants, after a final exam, as UPC representatives, according to Art. 48.2 of the UPC Agreement and R. 286.2 of the Rules of Procedure.
Requirements
Priority will be given to European Patent Attorneys entitled to act as professional representatives before the European Patent Office pursuant to Article 134 of the European Patent Convention.
