Description

Teaching Modules The Master educational pathway is based on the Double Diamond® model, adopted as the core framework. Through the alternation of divergent phases (Modules 1 and 3) and convergent phases (Modules 2 and 4), the Master’s program guides students in developing a design mindset applied to contexts of transformation and strategic execution. The program strengthens the ability to interpret complexity, make strategic decisions, and design high-impact solutions through a combination of theoretical lectures and hands-on exercises with companies in each module. The modules are structured as follows: Module 0 | Design for Becoming a Change Agent: Teamwork, Attitudes & Transformative Skills Module 1 | Design for Managerial Sensemaking & Strategic Foresight Module 2 | Design for Business Transformation & Strategic Positioning Module 3 | Design for Strategic Experience & Meaning Creation Module 4 | Design for Omnichannel Strategy Execution & Performance Management Project Work 1 | Practice Design Strategy Project Work 2 | Practice Business Transformation To complete the educational pathway, the following activities are included: Design Your Career Lab A dedicated program focused on designing each participant’s personal and professional development steps, integrating individual coaching, opportunities for interaction with companies, and the original “It’s a Match!” format. Curricular Internship The program concludes with a 500-hour internship, designed as a concrete application experience of the design mindset and strategic skills acquired during the Master program. As an alternative, the internship can be substituted by a professionalizing project or the recognition of a professional/professionalizing activity.

Educational project

The First-Level Specializing Master Program in “Digital Strategy and Processes for Innovation” is co-designed and co-promoted by POLI.design and POLIMI Graduate School of Management. It is positioned as a professionalizing program in the fields of design and management and aims to train professionals capable of adopting and applying a cognitive design-based approach—focused on users and their needs, and characterized by an iterative and experimental mindset—combined with the effective implementation of digital technologies. This integrated approach enables the design and execution of innovation pathways for strategies, business models, and organizational processes in contexts characterized by high cultural, technological, and organizational complexity. The Master program trains professionals able to lead organizational change by integrating design and management, with digital technologies and Artificial Intelligence as strategic enablers. The program develops skills to design, structure, and govern processes aligned with market and business needs, acting as a bridge between top management and operational teams across different business functions. Upon completion, students acquire a design and managerial mindset that enables them to critically and consciously address organizational transformations. The program is open to candidates with backgrounds in design, economics, engineering, communication, and social sciences. The educational approach underpinning the Design Mindset is based on Design Thinking and the Double Diamond model, integrating skills in data analysis, process design, communication, and the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence. These competencies are complemented by management skills that provide a well-informed perspective on markets, strategy, business models, and organizational dynamics. The Master program combines lectures, workshops, challenges with companies and institutions, project work, and a final internship, allowing students to experience the role of change enablers within complex organizations while fostering both professional and personal growth.
