Description
The course represents a benchmark of excellence in the national and international sports industry, simultaneously establishing itself as a network of prestigious entities capable of engaging large companies, engineering firms, industry professionals, and the academic and research world. It offers students a 360° educational experience on the subject, giving them the opportunity to explore current projects and issues with prestigious speakers. The course is structured around 7 thematic pillars: 1) SPORT MARKETING 2) SPORT MANAGEMENT 3) SPORT EVENT MANAGEMENT 4) MEDIA AND SPORT CULTURE 5) SPORT INFRASTRUCTURE AND EVENTS OPERATIONS 6) SPORT AND URBAN HEALTH 7) SPORT AND SOCIAL INCLUSION. The Master's program includes lectures, laboratory activities, workshops, match days, targeted visits, study trips, and internships at leading public and private institutions and companies. Two intensive four-day workshops are also planned at the Italian Football Federation's ""Luigi Ridolfi"" Federal Technical Center in Coverciano and the ""Giulio Onesti"" Olympic Training Center in Rome, as well as specific workshops and seminars at companies and public institutions. The Master's program's approach is deliberately multidisciplinary and multi-scale, thus prioritizing the variety of topics covered and the related networks. The experience of the first six years of the Course has confirmed the soundness of this choice, also with respect to its subsequent placement in the various fields of application of the Sports Industry as a whole. Each year, the Course hosts over 150 speakers, many of whom are international and work in the world of sports at the highest professional levels.
Educational project
The International Master in Sport Design and Management puts SPORT (in all its forms, declinations and manifestations) at the centre of its project, bringing the two “Politecnico Souls” together, in a unique concept: Design (architecture, engineering and industrial design) and Sport Management, developing a program characterized by a highest cultural and professional level, involving speakers, testimonials, stakeholders, companies, federations, organizations operating in all sectors of the sports industry at a national and international level.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree or Master of Science is required. Equivalent foreign qualifications in their respective University System will be considered valid.
