Marco Tarabini

Marco Tarabini is Vice Rector of the Lecco Territorial Campus and Full Professor of Mechanical and Thermal Measurements at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Politecnico di Milano. His work lies at the intersection of applied research, industrial innovation and technology transfer, with a particular focus on measurement systems, sensors, assessment of human exposure to vibration, biomechanics, and the development of technological solutions for industrial applications. He has served as Scientific Coordinator of the JRP MATT project, member of the Lecco Metalworking District Committee, Convenor of ISO TC108/SC4/WG13, member of the International Advisory Committee on HandArm Vibration, and founder of the Polilink@Lecco service.

He has coordinated more than 40 research projects funded by public bodies and private companies, working closely with businesses, local institutions and industrial partners. He is co-inventor of six patents and author of more than 200 Scopus-indexed scientific publications. Throughout his career, he has actively promoted collaboration between universities, industry and local communities, fostering shared platforms for education, research and innovation.
