No Paper project

Over the past few years, the Politecnico di Milano has initiated a review and dematerialization of its administrative processes, resulting in numerous interventions aimed at reducing paper use.
To this end, a comprehensive multi-year project (2020-2022) was established, coordinated by the University's ICT Department, which has led to the achievement of significant and encouraging results.

In particular, the review and digitalization of procedures, launched in 2020, has already had significant impacts, thanks in part to the synergistic collaboration of various departments, in the following areas:

Teaching (e.g., management of scholarships, undergraduate degrees, master's degrees, admissions and enrollment of international students);
Research (research project reporting, etc.);
Human Resources (recruitment and personnel management procedures);
Institutional Activities (such as, for example, document management, procedures for the disposal of hazardous waste, online voting).

Activities will continue in the future according to specific objectives identified with the Administrative Directorate.
Here is a summary of the project's final report.
