The enrolment is the official process by which a candidate can register in a university degree programme and officially become a student of Politecnico di Milano.

How to complete the enrolment process

Enrolment can only be considered officially over once the following steps have been completed:

  • The uploading of a final degree certificate
  • The uploading of a valid language certificate
  • The completion of the online procedure, including the payment of the first instalment, within the given deadlines
  • The uploading of the enrolment documents (Politecnico di Milano must verify the authenticity and the eligibility of your degree)
  • The obtainment and uploading of a student visa, if necessary
  • The physical presence in the country (identification/passport validation)
     

Upload a final degree certificate

It is possible to complete the online enrolment procedure even if you haven’t graduated yet. However, if you don’t have a degree at the time of the enrolment, you shall be considered regularly enrolled only if you are going to graduate by September 1st (for students admitted to the 1st semester) or March 6th (for students admitted to the 2nd semester). 

Please note: if you don’t have an official graduation certificate to upload within the deadline, you can upload an enrolment certificate and replace it with the official graduation certificate, as soon as you have it. The graduation date on such certificate must correspond to the graduation date indicated during the online enrolment procedure.
 

Upload a valid language certificate

Unless the medium of instruction in your previous university was English, to complete the enrolment in any of our postgraduate programmes in English it is mandatory to upload a valid certificate. As well, an Italian language certificate is requested, to complete the enrolment in our postgraduate programmes taught in Italian.

Complete the online procedure within the given deadlines

Academic Year 2025-2026 (Second Semester)

STUDY AREA: Architecture programmes (INCLUDING Architectural Engineering - Building Engineering for Sustainability - Management of Built Environment programmes) 

  • from February 12th to February 18th

STUDY AREA: Engineering programmes 

  • from January 19th to March 6th

All classes are going to start on February 23rd.

Academic Year 2026-2027 (First Semester)

All study areas:

  • if you are admitted by May 10th - enrol from May 11th to May 20th
  • if you are admitted after May 10th - enrol from May 25th to June 3rd

How to proceed

  1. Enter your online account
  2. Select Apply for a Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to a Master of Science) programme
  3. Confirm/complete your degree information
  4. Pay the first instalment (€ 890.04) of your first academic year tuition fees.

Upload the enrolment documents

Please check the dedicated section here. The enrolment documents must not be necessarily uploaded during the online procedure, if not available at that moment, but must be uploaded by October 31st.

Complete your passport validation

Show up during the Welcome Week and have your identity verified by submitting your original passport/ID card (for EU students only). Once this step has been completed, you will be able to use Politecnico di Milano wi-fi, have your grades registered, and download the softwares you need for your studies with Politecnico di Milano licence.

Submit your Study Plan

Presentation of the study plan is mandatory. This can be done by logging into the Online Services and selecting "Study Plan - Presentation".
