Description
The Postgraduate Course will be held by professors of the Polytechnic, external professionals
and experts in the sector. All students will have a personal account that will allow access to
the online platform. The lessons, in ASYNCHRONOUS mode, are videotaped and will remain
available to the student until the end of the course. Several lessons and their material could
be in English. A final exam is scheduled.
Educational project
The course is focused on training and retraining of workers in technical offices employed in
public works. Based on as stipulated by the European Parliament in procurement (European
Union Public Procurement Directive, EUPPD) which, from 2016, sets out the obligation of
the use of BIM software, in the design activities for public works financed by the EU, there
will be an excursus on the law, data processing, responsibilities followed by basic training
on the use of some applications. Some theoretical fundamentals and practical applications,
will allow users to open and manage files and projects drafted in the field of BIM integrated
design. We will discuss some widely used software and functionality as well as the fields of
application. The basic training will provide a clear idea of the possible prospects for
improvement in the management of procurement, design validation and interference
control, as well as work progress. Particular importance is given to project work and
homework on case studies.
Requirements
The course is open to candidates who have already joined or intend to join technical offices of
public bodies, companies that operate on behalf of public entities or companies that manage
building works and infrastructure projects and candidates who are interested in specialization. The
course is reserved for candidates with a Bachelor. Foreign candidates qualification equivalents will
be considered in their respective university systems.
