Description

The online specialising master in technologies for teaching (DOL) is a first level online specialising master designed for teachers of all disciplines in all schools of any kind. The Specialising master will start in November 2022 and its training activities will end in November 2023, including 1500 hours in total and 60 ECTS, spread over 12 academic months. The teaching format includes alternating teaching modules of various kinds, advanced theory lessons, gaining specific skills, reviewing case studies, experimental activities with school classes. The teaching mixture ensures basic cultural quality and that the subjects of the course can be practically applied to teaching activities in schools. This is a distance learning course (for all activities). The final exams will thoroughly test participants, who will also be tested during the course (on a monthly basis or every two weeks) in order to assess their learning progress. Attending training activities is mandatory and the training period cannot be suspended for any reason. The Specialising Master's Board can decide to exclude participants who fail to attend or who do not achieve the required grades in the in-course tests. In this case the fees paid will not be refunded. Withdrawal from the course on a voluntary basis must be set out in writing and, regardless of the reason, the fees paid will not be refunded.

Educational project

The aim of the specialising master is to valorise the role of teachers as an essential and crucial channel between technological innovation and its use in teaching. The specific aims are: - to learn more about the theoretical-methodological aspects of pedagogic innovation aided by the use of technologies; - to become familiar and acquire operating skills with the most important technologies used to support teaching; - to be familiar with relevant case studies and examples from which to gain inspiration; - to design and carry out with the class teaching activities using the technology and to systematically assess its effectiveness; - to learn more about scientific-practical topics concerning teaching-related technologies.
