BSc in Biomedical Engineering
Life Sciences represent one of the most dynamic and strategic areas of scientific and technological development worldwide. They include disciplines that place human beings at the center, such as healthcare, environment, nutrition, gene therapy, and biotechnology. Biomedical Engineering combines engineering principles with medicine and biology to develop innovative technologies aimed at improving human health and quality of life. Biomedical engineers design medical devices, instruments, materials, and systems for disease prevention, diagnosis, therapy, and rehabilitation, working closely with physicians, biologists, and other specialists.
Production: Assistant technician for pattern development; Apparel and fashion technician.
Graduates in Biomedical Engineering have a multidisciplinary profile that allows either immediate entry into the job market or continuation of academic studies.
Biomedical engineers may work in public or private sectors, including biomedical and pharmaceutical industries, biotechnology and nanotechnology companies, hospitals and healthcare facilities, clinical engineering services, medical device design and manufacturing, technical support, sales, and consulting.
After completing the Bachelor’s degree, students may enroll in the Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering (offered in multiple specialized tracks), apply for double-degree or international Master’s programs, attend first-level Master’s programs, and sit the State Examination for professional engineering licensure.
