MSc in Architectural Engineering

The Master’s Degree Programme in Architectural Engineering educates professionals capable of effectively addressing the cultural and technical challenges associated with the now unavoidable reduction of the environmental impact of the construction sector. In particular, the programme prepares graduates to operate in the field of high-performance buildings, characterized by high energy efficiency and low environmental impact, both for new constructions and for interventions on existing buildings. The skills acquired are also transferable to extra-European contexts, adapting to different climates and construction traditions, in line with the leading role of European regulations in guiding the 2050 targets. The educational path addresses the complexity of the factors influencing building performance, from the urban and microclimatic scale down to building components and systems, including the role of occupants. Graduates are therefore shaped as innovative professionals, capable of managing integrated, multidisciplinary, and multi-scale design processes, which are essential for the development of buildings that are sustainable also from an economic perspective. They also possess advanced competences in the modeling of physical-technical and structural behavior, contributing to the development of efficient and innovative solutions.
