Descrizione dell'iniziativa

The essential elements of quantum mechanics are first introduced: the wave function and its interpretation, the Schroedinger equation and the mathematical structure on which the theory is based. Some important examples of the solution of the Schroedinger equation are then discussed, showing the main differences with the results of classical mechanics and applications to real examples. Two lessons are devoted to entangled states and some of their application: cryptography and teleportation.
