Criteri di selezione

Applications will close on September 18th. All applicants will then be contacted and asked to submit the following two documents by September 21st:a curriculum vitae of no more than one page;a motivation letter, also limited to one page, explaining why they would like to participate in 0>1 LAB and why they should be selected.The selection process will then take place over the following four days, leading to the identification of the 50 participants who will join the 0>1 LAB kick-off on September 30th.

Descrizione dell'iniziativa

0>1 LAB is an experimental entrepreneurship laboratory developed within Passion in Action and the Polimi Innovators ecosystem. It enables students to work on the valorisation of technologies and patents originating from research conducted at Politecnico di Milano. 

Selected participants meet researchers, explore the proposed technologies and form multidisciplinary teams of four to six members. Through workshops, team-building activities, expert sessions and mentoring, each team identifies potential applications, explores market opportunities and develops an initial entrepreneurial idea. 

The programme is divided into two phases. During the first phase, teams focus on idea generation, value proposition design and target-market identification. The most promising projects then enter a second phase dedicated to opportunity validation, business design and the definition of a concrete development roadmap. The laboratory concludes with teams presenting their projects to a jury through a final pitch. 

0>1 LAB is not simply an educational simulation: it is a learning-by-doing experience designed to transform scientific knowledge and intellectual property into new innovation opportunities. Even when the programme does not immediately lead to the creation of a startup, participants develop entrepreneurial, interpersonal and decision-making skills. They learn to work effectively in teams, navigate uncertainty, recognise the potential of a technology and build meaningful connections between research, the market and society. 

The initiative is based on the THALEA LABS format developed by OTTOZEROUNO.
