"We teach complexity". With these words, the Ecoles Centrales Group partners, coming to our University every year, open their presentation to the students of Politecnico di Milano. It is true that, having a creative point of view and an open approach to the world, a strong initiative and knowing how to manage complex projects thanks to the study of scientific and humanistic subjects, are the real characteristics of the Centralien, the graduate student of one of these schools. Being a Centralien is a real social status, recognized throughout France and all over the world. One of the most famous centralien is Gustave Eiffel. Centrale Marseille is part of the Grandes écoles, the famous engineering schools that train the managers of the leadership of the country.More than 60% of the presidents and directors of the 100 largest French companies come from one of these institutions. Every year, thousands of French students try this national examination to enter one of these Schools, but only 4% of them is admitted. Thanks to the Double Degree Agreement with Centrale Marseille, Politecnico di Milano, since more than 20 years, can send dozens of students to this institution, who are directly admitted to attend classes and obtain the qualification equivalent to Master of Science at the end of their academic career. Centrale Marseille has close relationships with many companies, with several research laboratories and competitive groups of the region in the fields of aeronautics and risk management, energy and photonics and, since many years, it has different partners all over the world. Its first purpose is to train engineers on flexibility and ethics. The school promotes internationalization, entrepreneurship, innovation and social openmindedness. The French Ecole provides internships for its general engineers who will be able to benefit from innovative activities in the field of energy, environmental transport and nanotechnology. A high number of students attends a T.I.M.E. double degree programme at Centrale Marseille. With this project, about 40 students every year, from all over the world, graduates at Central Marseille. Politecnico di Milano gives the possibility for Erasmus or Double Degree project.
