Established in 1962, CEPT University is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large metropolis of Ahmedabad. CEPT University focuses on understanding, designing, planning, constructing and managing human habitats. Its teaching programmes aim to build thoughtful professionals and its research programmes deepen understanding of human settlements. CEPT University also undertakes advisory projects to further the goal of making habitats more liveable. Through its education, research and advisory activities, CEPT strives to improve the impact of habitat professions. The University comprises different faculties: the Faculty of Architecture, the Faculty of Planning, the Faculty of Technology, and the Faculty of Design.
