Double Degree agreement in Electrical Engineering This double degree project, active since 2016/2017 academic year, offers you the possibility to study in a very dynamic international context from the cultural point of view, in particular for what concerns training objectives and job opportunities. From a training point of view, the double degree project is focused on industrial automation, with specific contents in the fields of power electronics and electrical drive systems. Structure of the double degree programme: the agreement runs for 3 years, you will study the first year at Beihang University (69 exams? credits) and the second year at Polimi (63 exams? credits) or viceversa, the first year in Italy and the second year in China. The first semester of the third year you will prepare your thesis at the Chinese university (28 credits), while during the second semester you will carry out an internship (in a company or research centre, in China, Italy or another country of your choice) or a research project at Beihang University (BUAA) or at Polimi (20 credits in total).The engineering lectures you will attend at BUAA are held in English, but the programme also includes Chinese language courses. The exams you pass in China will be recognized in your Polimi?s study plan. You will discuss your thesis both at Polimi and BUAA, according to the respective graduation sessions. Qualification obtained at the partner university: Master of Engineering.

• Restrictions: Mobility for the double degree will start in the first semester. To participate you must have filled only exams in English language in your Master study plan at Polimi.

The agreement has been signed between the School of Industrial and Information Engineering of Politecnico and the School of Electronic and Information Engineering of Beihang University. At the end of your studies you will earn a Laurea Magistrale from Politecnico and a Master of Engineering from BUAA. Structure of the double degree programme: Beihang University is one of the Chinese universities of excellence, particularly known for the telecommunications sector. The university campus is located in the city of Beijing. The programme runs for 3 years, you will attend the first year at Politecnico and the second year at Beihang University. You can decide to spend all the third year at BUAA, or the first semester at Politecnico and the second at BUAA. During your first year at BUAA, you will attend lectures and take exams that will be recognized when you will come back to Politecnico. The engineering lectures are in English, but the programme also includes Chinese language courses. During the first semester of the third year you can focus on your thesis work or carry out an internship (in Italy, China or elsewere). The second semester of the third year you will complete your final work at BUAA. Once you have defended your thesis and obtained the Chinese qualification, you will graduate at Politecnico, in one of the degree exam sessions scheduled every year. The double degree agreement with Beihang includes a specific study plan that must be followed by the students. At BUAA, you will attend lectures and take exams that will be recognized when you will come back to Politecnico. The engineering lectures are in English, but the programme also includes Chinese language courses. Once you have defended your thesis and obtained the Chinese qualification, you will graduate at Politecnico, during one of the degree exam sessions scheduled every year.
