Description
The online Master's degree in teaching technologies (DOL) is a second-level online master's degree aimed at teachers of schools of all levels, of all fields and disciplines, and trainers. The Master's will start in November 2024 and the training activities will end in November 2025 (excluding the final exam) for 1500 hours and 60 credits, spread over 12 academic months. The didactic system provides for the alternation of didactic modules of various kinds, theoretical insights, acquisition of specific skills, case studies, and experimental activities with the class: the didactic mix guarantees essential cultural quality and practical applicability in teaching at school. The course takes place entirely remotely for all activities. Rigorous final tests are foreseen, as well as biweekly or monthly continuous tests aimed at verifying the learning progress of each participant. Attendance at training activities is compulsory, and the training period cannot be suspended for any reason. In case of non-attendance, low profit or plagiarism in the intermediate tests / final test, the Commission of the Master can decide to exclude the participant. In such cases, the fees paid will not be refunded. Voluntary withdrawal from studies must be expressed in writing and, in any case, motivated and excludes the reimbursement of the amount paid.
Educational project
The aim of the specialising master is to valorise the role of teachers as an essential and crucial channel between technological innovation and its use in teaching. The specific aims are: - to learn more about the theoretical-methodological aspects of pedagogic innovation aided by the use of technologies; - to become familiar and acquire operating skills with the most important technologies used to support teaching; - to be familiar with relevant case studies and examples from which to gain inspiration; - to design and carry out with the class teaching activities using the technology and to systematically assess its effectiveness; - to learn more about scientific-practical topics concerning teaching-related technologies.
Requirements
The Specialising Master is reserved for trainers and teachers (with long or short term contracts) employed in Italian and European state or private schools, of any level, holding a Laurea Specialistica/Magistrale (equivalent to a Master of Science in all the cases above). Equivalent foreign qualifications in their respective University system will be considered valid. The selection will be held by the Scientific Committee.
