UNIVERSITY OF LORRAINE

NANCY, FRANCE - Partner university code: F NANCY43

The University of Lorraine, although it has an important historical legacy dating back to the 16th century, was officially born in 2012 following the merger between the University of Metz, the University of Nancy I, the University of Nancy II and the National Institute Lorraine Polytechnic. It is a public university located in the heart of the Grand Est region (Alsace / Champagne-Ardenne / Lorraine). Also due to its strategic geographic position, the institution plays a major role in the cross-border academic network called University of the Greater Region, in partnership with the Technische Universität Kaiserslautern, the University of Liège, the University of Luxembourg, Saarland University and Trier University. The UL has numerous sites and facilities within the entire region, while the two main campuses are located in Nancy and Metz. The research landscape is multidisciplinary, and the UL offers degrees at bachelor, master and doctoral level in nine different faculties (Arts and Humanities, Medicine, Law and Economics, Science and Technology, Engineering, Human and Social Sciences, Management of Innovation, Technologies and Training) as well as numerous cultural, sports and associative activities.
