DOUBLE DEGREE EXTRA UE
The agreement is open between the Engineering Schools of the Politecnico di Milano and the Faculty of Engineering of the Universidad de Los Andes The academic programs (Master's degree level) that students of the Politecnico di Milano can attend at the Faculty of Engineering of the "de los Andes" University are: Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering; Master's Degree in Computational Biology; Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering; Master's Degree in Computer Engineering and Computation; Master's Degree in Software Engineering (MISO); Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering; Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering; Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering; Master's Degree in Information Technology for Business (MBIT); Master's Degree in Information Engineering Master's Degree in Information Security. MOBILITY SCHEME Once you have completed the 1st year of the Master's Degree at the Politecnico di Milano and with the achievement of 60 ECTS credits, you will be able to enroll, thanks to the Double Degree agreement, in a master's degree course of the Uniandes. You will have to attend the compulsory academic activities that are: Partner campus: in a period of 1.5 years, a total of 7 subjects distributed as follows: Five (5 credits) master level courses (4 Uniandes credits each) for a total of 20 credits , "Thesis 1" course (4 Uniandes credits), "Tesi 2" course (8 Uniandes credits). The master's degree thesis is a one-year project divided into two semesters. Following the definition of the topic of the thesis and the assignment of the corresponding supervisor, you enroll in Thesis 1 (4 credits from Uniandes). In this course you will have to propose a work plan for solving a scientific question. The results obtained during the semester must be presented in front of a committee or jury at the end of the semester. After passing Thesis 1, you can enroll in Thesis 2. LaTesi 2 is an 8-credit course (Uniandes credits) which forms the core of the thesis project. The results must be summarized in a document and presented in front of the graduate program students committee for final evaluation. You will then have to submit the final document to the main Library of the Uniandes. This last step is a prerequisite for obtaining the degree. You will thus obtain the "Master's Degree in Engineering" title from the Politecnico di Milano and the Master degree (depending on the degree course) from the "de los Andes" University. ATTENTION: Knowledge of English and Spanish is required: at the time of applying to the Uniandes you must have the minimum level of knowledge of the Spanish language B1 and be in the process of acquiring level B2. When registering at the partner office you will need to certify a sufficient level of knowledge of the Spanish language with a B2 level. You will also need to certify a sufficient level of English proficiency with a B2 level certificate.
