BRANDENBURG UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY COTTBUS-SENFTENBERG

The Brandenburgische Technische Universität (BTU) was founded in 1991 and is a technical university in Brandenburg, Germany, with campuses in Cottbus and Senftenberg. Cottbus is a university town and is the second largest city in Brandenburg. Located about 125 km south-east of Berlin, on the Spree river not far from the border with Poland, Cottbus is also an important railway junction. It has several attractions, museums, parks and monuments. BTU combines exceptional international research with future-oriented teaching. It provides an important contribution to society, culture and the economy through the transfer of knowledge and technologies. As a technical university, BTU offers a teaching concept that is not found anywhere else in Germany, a double education title, or the combination of academic education and vocational training. BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg is a research-intensive university with a strong basic and application orientation. It is defined by the classic features of a technical university. The research fields are: Regions and Heritage, Energy Efficiency and Sustainability, Biotechnology, Environment and Health, Physical Information Systems Cognitive. In the BTU Campus, many young people involved meet and form special interest groups. Whether it's sport, social commitment or technology, all students will find others similar to the BTU. Beach volleyball, windsurfing and sport climbing are just three of the sports in our colorful sports course portfolio. BTU is looking for solution approaches that solve international, national and regional problems. These include challenges in the areas of energy, health, the environment, IT-based networks and communications as well as cultural and social issues.
