Description
The school is co-organized by COST Action CA18214 The geography of New Working Spaces and the impact on the periphery, Department of Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Engineering (DABC), Department of Architecture and Urban Studies (DASTU) at Polimi, with Dipartimento di Eccellenza, Fragilità Territoriali and the Real Estate Estate Center of DABC Polimi. The course targets students and researchers. The nature of work has recently evolved, along with the way workspaces are used. This dynamic has important implications especially for the design, management and location of workplaces that must respond to new challenges. This course will help students and researches to confront these new trend. Through lectures, group work and visits to different types of workspaces, participants will develop an innovative workplace strategy for an important company as ASSOLOMBARDA, also taking into account the impact of Covid-19 on these issues.
Educational project
The aim of the course is to guide partecipants in developing main skills: 1) integrate different disciplines in a coherent reasoning around new places to work; 2) explore the location factors of new workplaces and the effects on workers' performance and on the urban context (regeneration); and 3) prefigure the future evolution of the workplace.

Students interested in workshop on workplaces. Researches interested in coworking and workplaces.
