Description
The Master is an innovative program offered by POLIMI Graduate School of
Management and dedicated to the world of data science and the synergistic use of
state-of-the-art data analysis methodologies for managing and solving complex
business problems in different industries. Developed in one of the global ICT research
centers of excellence, such as the one of Politecnico di Milano, the program offers its
participants a holistic educational experience that alternates between theoretical
lectures and laboratories, with the contribution and guidance of both academic
members and companies.
Educational project
The objective of the Master is to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for a Data
Scientist, one of the most sought-after professional figures nationally and
internationally.
The Master is designed with the objective of enhancing managerial skills, with modeling
and analytical abilities, aimed at extracting value from data and converting data into
knowledge.
Among others, the Master is characterized by the following learning objectives:
1) To provide the ability to employ predictive analytics, machine learning and data
science methods in business processes to improve decision making and seize new
opportunities.
2) To provide the methodological and technical skills required to select, apply and
develop effective data analysis methods.
3) Develop the ability to extract value from data analysis and interpretation of
generated patterns.
4) To provide multidisciplinary skills that enable effective collaboration and interaction
between the data scientist and other stakeholders within an organization.
Requirements
Bachelor or Master of Science. Equivalent foreign qualifications from their respective
University Systems will be considered.
