Description

The Executive University Master's course in "University and Research Management" offers a renewed vision of the management figures who operate in the current university and research context, helping them to systematically acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to manage daily life.

Educational project

The Master's objective is to propose a renewed vision of the management figures who operate in the current university and research context, helping them to systematically acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to manage everyday life but above all to promote change, stimulate the innovation and improvement, contributing to the strategic development of its institutions. For those who carry out administrative and technical work at the highest level this implies a growing responsibility to make the system work by managing resources in the best possible way. At the end of the training course, the participant must possess, in addition to a greater awareness of his / her role, adequate behavioral and organizational, technological and administrative, planning and evaluation skills. The Master SUM has the following specific objectives: - Deepen knowledge of the education and research system through European comparison; analyze the possible models of governance, organization and management of higher education institutions and research institutions (Course Knowledge of the context). - To transmit a set of knowledge, analysis methodologies and tools to support managerial action, as well as enhance the planning and problem solving skills of the participants, which are essential to promote and manage change in a flexible way and to achieve effective and efficient results. - Develop behavioral, relational, negotiation and organizational skills that are fundamental to characterize a management capable of assuming roles of coordination and integration between the various components of the system, leveraging the motivational aspect. - Support the acquisition of a set of knowledge on the functioning of the most important services provided, presenting the reference organizational model, the governance system and its strategy, in order to facilitate the introduction of integrated process management logics between various managerial functions. - To transmit the knowledge necessary for the management of the internationalization process of universities at European and extra-European level.

Requirements

Students with a Master of Science degree will be admitted. Equivalent study qualifications obtained abroad will be deemed valid.
