Students who have submitted an application for recognition of political refugee status and are waiting for deliberation by the competent bodies, as well as those who have already obtained recognition, are exempted from submission of the Single Self-declaration (equivalent ISEE) and are placed in the first income bracket for the whole duration of the study programme to which they are enrolled. In case of income and/or assets in Italy, they must obtain an ISEE University certificate to have full or partial exemption (Law 232/2016 as amended and supplemented) or graduation of the all-inclusive contribution (from income bracket 1 to full contribution bracket).
