Description
The specialization course is structured into 4 distinct training moments:
- frontal lessons relating to the construction of wooden buildings (Crosslam and Timber
frame) with an indication of the differences between these construction systems
compared
to concrete and block structures, specific structural problems and introduction to
calculation methods, insertion of technical systems, specificity with respect to hygro-
thermal and acoustic problems;
- Direct experience in the construction of real-scale nodes (1:1) on site with leading
technicians and companies in the wooden construction sector;
- visit to construction sites of wooden buildings during assembly and visit to companies
in
the sector to verify the production methods of the components;
- design of a small wooden building in collaboration with the course teachers and
company
technicians.
Educational project
Train experienced professionals in the design and construction of wooden buildings.
Requirements
The course is for candidates with a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture or
Engineering. For foreign candidates, equivalent qualifications will be considered in the
respective study systems.
