Description
The Master in Design and Construction Management of Sports Infrastructures,
tends to
the formation of a planning figure for architecture, engineering and design of the
sports
infrastructure. The Master includes: lectures, studio activities, workshops, targeted
visits,
study trips, internships at excellent institutions and companies of both public and
private
nature. The Course has a duration of 1500 hours. It is structured in lectures,
individual
study, tutorials, tours, workshops and 300 hours of internship (optional). The
structure of
the Master includes the definition of 6 training modules on the main disciplinary
areas
involving the formation of the designer and of the manager of sports
infrastructures,
closely related to each other through a multidisciplinary and multi-scale approach.
Educational project
Master in Design Construction and Management of Sports Infrastructures aims at
training professionals of high level able to operate successfully in the conception,
planning, design, construction and management of sports infrastructures, according
to cross-cutting and multidisciplinary logics and skills. The training program offers
the opportunity to acquire technical and procedural skills in order to meet the
growing demand for qualified
professionals, thick and international in scope, able to handle the complexity of
decision-
making and management processes of sports infrastructures design and
optimization,
both ex novo either existing, and their integration on the territory. The Masters will
be the
focal point of a network aimed at the establishment of a Studio of studies and
researches
for design, construction and management of sports facilities, capable of operating
worldwide with innovative forms and instruments, through a training aimed at
producing
technological innovation in different fields and to improve the results achieved in
research
in the fields of architecture, engineering and design applied to sport. These actions
will
stimulate in the professional a high cultural level, fostering a continuous update
through
the figures and firms of the course's network. The Master is open to engineers,
architects,
planners, professional studios, architecture and engineering companies,
construction companies, consultants, managers of sports companies and public
bodies, operators of sports and real estate. The Master intends to create a qualified
designer able to operate in the areas of architectural and engineering design from
planning stages to the Infrastructure Lifecycle Management -, sport clubs, leagues,
federations, public administrations, construction companies, service companies for
sports, real estate companies and in any case all those groups affected by the
transformations of the contemporary city.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science/Master of Science degree or equivalent in Architecture, Engineering,
Design,
Political Science
and Tourism, Law, Economics and related disciplines
