Founded in 1999, the UTBM is a public university born of the union of two institutions: the Ecole Nationale d'Ingenieurs de Belfort and the Polytechnic Institute of Sevenans. The UTBM has an international scientific, technological, human and business orientation. Its main objective is to train engineers who must be operational in a short time, always in line with the technological evolution and the developments of industry. The university academic offer includes 5 main addresses: IT, Mechanical Engineering, Management Engineering, Energy and Ergonomics. The UTBM is located in an industrial land but at the same time is immersed in nature. The Franche-Comté region offers kilometers of trails that can be covered on foot during the summer and on skis in winter. It is the ideal place for nature-loving students who can carry out many outdoor activities in the forests and the water area, only two hours from Paris.
