The Universidade do Minho was founded in 1973 and is divided into the following faculties: Architecture, Science, Law, Economics and Management, Engineering, Medicine, Nursing and Psychology. It currently consists of three campuses: Azurém and Couros in Guimarães and Campus Gualtara in Braga, one of Europe's youngest dynamic and energetic cities whose district shows standards of development and quality of life well above the national average.
