The Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (UNCuyo) was founded in 1939. It is currently the largest centre of higher education in the west of Argentina. UNCuyo understands education as a public, free and secular good, a human right, and a national duty. UNCuyo produces, develops, transfers and exchanges know-how, practices, and technology in line with social demands and needs. UNCuyo is in the province of Mendoza which is located in the Andean region of Argentina, and it is characterized by a group of green oases dotted around the desert. UNCuyo pursues a global university, providing mobility programs for students, professors and staff, international research projects, international seminars, university networks and bilateral agreements.
