
The Technical University of Košice is a public institution providing technical, economical and artistic education in all three levels of higher education for both home and foreign students. The Technical University of Košice has 9 faculties. Each faculty offers accredited study programs at bachelor´s, master´s and doctoral level of higher education. The study can be carried out in full‑time or part‑time form; by attendance, distance or combined method in Slovak or English language. Students of Faculty of Economics can take part in a francophone study program with French as a language of instruction. The Technical University of Košice is a modern, scientific and research educational institution with international character providing high‑quality university education with strong applicability on the Slovakian and the international employment market. The University offers teaching in special laboratories, modern forms of learning with an individual approach to each student, support for personality development in talented students, and opportunities to share in working on research and development projects including ones in real‑life practice during the degree courses. They may spend parts of their course abroad thanks to the wide range of chances to attend prestigious universities around the world through the Erasmus programme. With three campuses in two regional cities featuring 43 hectares of educational premises, student accommodation and sports facilities, this university is one of the largest in Slovakia. Because of the interlinkage of its nine faculties with a multitude of focuses, TUKE creates a unique environment for thousands of students. Nowadays at TUKE you can study a number of technical disciplines, but also economics and arts. The study of design develops talent and knowledge in the design and artistic rendering of technical products. The study of economics provides students with the fundamentals of finance, banking and investment. Currently, the greatest interest is in study programmes related to computer science, cybersecurity, computer science, automotive, automation and robotics. Construction and architecture are undoubtedly attractive, but earth resources, geotourism, materials processing and environmental protection are not far behind. Not everywhere students can study aerospace engineering and dozens of other in‑demand study programmes.
