Tianjin University (TJU) is the oldest institution of higher education in the modern history of China. It is a comprehensive university offering education in several technical fields as well as law, economics, education, life sciences. The School of Architecture traces back to 1937 and it includes the departments of Architecture, Urban and Rural Planning, Landscape Architecture, and Environmental Design, the Institute of Architectural History & Theory and the Institute of Architectural Technology and Science. TJU is located on a campus full of services and facilities in order to give students a full experience, The campus is also famous for its crabapple trees, whose blossing is celebrating every year during the traditional TUJ Crabapple Blossom Festival.
