The Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology is one of the best non-state institutions of higher education in Poland, often praised by employers, students and the media. It was founded in 1994 on the basis of a bilateral agreement between the governments of Poland and Japan. Since the beginning, it concentrated on high quality education to form specialists who could work in the field of computer techniques, which were important for the development of Poland. Nowadays, PJAIT focuses on practical skills: students can use facilities (such as modern IT and graphic design laboratories) and take part in numerous meetings with scientists, artists, IT companies representatives and future employers. The School campus is located in the centre of Warsaw, one of the most dynamically developing European cities. Warsaw is the centre of political and economic life of the country and has a lively social and cultural scene.
