The National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan Tech) was founded 1974, as the first higher education institution of its kind in the country. Taiwan Tech vision is to build into an international applied research university producing high-tech and management personnel with the ability to compete on a global level, thus supporting the future growth of the country and the society. Taiwan Tech also has strong focus on the world stage pursuing internationalization in every area of campus life. Education focuses on Engineering, Design, Management, Applied Science and LIberal Arts and Social Sciences. The College of Engineering and the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science offer courses in mechanical, materials, civil, chemical, automation, electronic, electrical and computer science engineering. The College of Design focuses both on architecture and design.
