
The Technische Hochschule Ingolstad distinguishes itself by offering a practice-oriented education, applied and innovative research and a dynamic and future-oriented campus, whose focal point are the students. A key feature is the marked application orientation, which is why an integral part of each degree course is practical training and projects, as well as collaborations with regional companies. Another fundamental aspect is the research whose Center is built on the scientific tradition of the city of Ingolstadt that dates back centuries. In this regard, particular attention is given to the training and advancement of young researchers: research that constantly focuses on solutions to concrete problems is a driving force for the development and well-being of the entire Region. The center conducts state-sponsored applied research projects funded by the industry; with the active involvement of SMEs, suppliers and producers, the center considers itself an important innovative engine for the region, in 2008 and 2010 the school was awarded the Bavarian award for innovation and approval of the first research building at a German university of applied sciences. Internationality is another of the university's key words, which is why its international office is very active and is responsible for organizing trips to nearby cities such as Munich, Regensburg and Nuremberg, as well as numerous intercultural events during the semester. In addition, international students have the opportunity to participate in meetings with various companies in the region and in seminars related to the organization of studies or preparation for an application at German companies.
