Universidad del Norte UNINORTE has more than 12,000 university students of first and second level, based on a large number of academic programmes supported by a strong education and research system that gives its important contribution to the development and growth of this Caribbean region of Colombia. This is possible thanks to a university city with a cutting edge technology that provides the necessary basis for the complete development of the whole university community. The Foundation carries out this educational task with three-year degrees, master of science and Ph.D. programmes. It wants to train students as analytical and thinking individuals, with strong ethical principles and innovative ideas that allow them to have an active, entrepreneurial, responsible, honest, critical and pragmatic point of view in order to give their contribution to the social, economic, political and cultural development of the community and of the whole Caribbean region. UNINORTE promotes and supports its leaders, professors, students and Alumni in order to allow them to study, analyse and understand the real problems of their community.
