
The School of Higher Education in Art and Design (ÉSAD Orléans) is a higher education institution established as a public institution for cultural cooperation. It is based in Orléans in the Loiret department and in the Centre-Val de Loire region. The ÉSAD Orléans is part of the network of French Art Schools under the educational supervision of the Ministry of Culture. In close collaboration with the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Bourges, its main mission is to teach the many creative professions in the field of Design and Communication. Entry to the first year takes place through selection. Teaching, which combines general and artistic education, takes place over three years for the bachelor or five years for the master degree and includes several months of internships. There is also the possibility to continue studies with post-master training programmes. Courses focus on the following main areas: Graphics, Illustration, Printmaking, Photography, Film, Video, Object Design, Furniture, Space and Multimedia Design.
