Since its opening in 1941, the Ecole Nationale des Sciences Géographiques (ENSG) trains its students to the technologies of geographic information and their use in a decision-making framework. Located on the campus of the Cité Descartes in Champs-sur-Marne, near Paris, it shares its premises with the École des Ponts ParisTech. Thanks to its reputation for excellence, ENSG attracts students from all over the world who are interested in studying and deepening their knowledge in geographic analysis, cartography, remote sensing, global positioning systems, and other related disciplines. Research at the ESNG is structured around five internationally renowned research laboratories which allow to maintain a high level of innovation potential in the fields of Geodesy, of Vector Topography, of Optics and Electronics, of Image Processing and Forest Inventory. As with many other laboratories in regular contact with the school, students can do internships and carry out research projects within these five laboratories.
