Created in 1816, the ENS Mines St-Etienne - Graduate School of Science and Technology is a school of the Institut Mines‐Télécom, a public institution of a scientific, cultural and professional nature, placed under the supervision of the Minister of Industry and the Minister of Electronic Communications. The School is spread over two Campuses: one in Saint‐Étienne and one in Gardanne. It promotes the training of high-level engineers, investing in research aimed at various specific sectors of interest. The School's training strategy is designed to ensure consistency with its other missions: research, support for economic development and dialogue between science, industry and society. In this way it works to anticipate the diversity and variability of demand from the business world in order to provide an adequate and timely response. This objective is reflected in a wide range of training courses that allow the School to be present in almost all sectors of activity and in all territories, including civil, electronics, informatics, nuclear, management, medical, mathematics, chemistry and materials engineering. High-level scientific research results in publications recognized by the international scientific community and in an excellent doctoral school.
