EAPB - NATIONAL SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE OF PARIS-BELLEVILLE

PARIS, FRANCE - Partner university code: F PARIS190

The National School of Architecture Paris-Belleville (EAPB) , one of the public schools of architecture in France, it is located in the Belleville district of Paris. Created in 1969, EAPB founded its teaching from the beginning on the principle of a knowledge base linked to an authentic design culture. The fundamental ideals of the school are: to strengthen its higher education character in the teaching of architecture linked to research and the possibility of offering a range of diversified practices to graduates; to develop the science of design, the convergence of knowledge and know-how, as well as theory and practice; to find relevant links and associations between courses and develop international partnerships; to not limit the teaching of architecture to mere professional training. The diversity of the courses allows the students to combine know-how and knowledge, theory and practice, training in architectural and urban projects and the acquisition of an architectural culture. Furthermore, training in manual drawing, use of computers and visual arts occupies an important place in teaching to know how to read space and represent it.
