The Technische Universität Dresden (TUD) is one of the largest, most important and dynamic technical universities in Germany. With 18 faculties in five schools it offers a wide variety of disciplines and covers a broad spectrum of research, mainly focused on Biomedicine, Bioengineering, Material Sciences, Information Technology, Microelectronics, as well as Energy and Environment. The university is a founding member of T9, a consortium that brings together the nine most important polytechnic universities in Germany and is one of the eleven German universities that has acquired the title of "University of Excellence" since 2012 and benefits from the funds of the "Initiative Excellence" investment program, this confirms its potential and is at the same time a great responsibility and an incentive to stay and become even more "excellent." At the international level, the TUD has gained a good reputation, about an eighth of its students comes from abroad.The main campus is easily accessible by public transport as it is located south of the center of Dresden, capital of the Land of Saxony is an art center of international importance.It also has a great location as it is only 150 km from Berlin and Prague.
