The Universitat Der Kunste Berlin is one of the largest and most diverse universities of the arts in the world. The teaching offered mainly in traditional formats at the four colleges of Fine Arts, Architecture, Media and Design, Music and Performing Arts as well as at the Central Institute for Continued Education / Berlin Career College encompasses the full spectrum of the arts and related studies academics in over 70 courses. With the right to confer doctoral and post-doctoral qualifications, the University of the Arts in Berlin is also one of the few art schools in Germany with full university status. The University of the Arts in Berlin offers a large architectural firm, consisting of Bachelor's and Master's programs. The focus of student education is on architectural planning, dedicated to the artistic understanding of architecture and design in the relevant social, political and cultural contexts. The purpose of the study is to develop the autonomous artistic-design point of view of each student on a solid constructive-technological basis. The balance between artistic, design and scientific methods is continuously explored in the form of intense seminars, projects and individual supervision. The integration of scientific and structural aspects marks the research activities of the Academy, regardless of whether they are financed by the State or by companies. As a creative response to social and technological developments, product and fashion design influences every area of life. It is not just a matter of attributing optical and tactile qualities to objects. Orientation to understanding design as a process also implies its communicative character. Design is mainly concerned with the conception, development and design of industrially manufactured objects and their mutual impact on humanity and the environment. The various fields of professional design are not territories with rigid contours. Graduates of this course of study therefore acquire the ability to work independently on complex design projects and idiosyncratic fashion concepts. The main object of teaching is the design process, from the initial question to conception and development, and finally to the presentation.
