The Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) is a Chinese public university, founded in 1940. It is one of the largest Chinese research institutes and is controlled by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The University's strategies include: consolidating its strengths in mechanical and vehicle engineering and automation; leveraging its advantages and distinctive programs in IT disciplines, developing new strengths in aerospace engineering. BIT concentrates its strengths in both science and engineering and simultaneously develops managerial disciplines and humanities.
