Technology Transfer Office (TTO)
The TTO of Politecnico di Milano is one of the first established in Italy, among the founders of Netval (Network of Italian Universities TTO). Over the years, it has achieved important results both in terms of intellectual property management and spin-off generation, with a portfolio of more than 1600 patents, half of which already in use at an industrial and commercial level.
The Technology Transfer office (TTO)'s mission is to support Politecnico researchers, staff and students in exploiting their research activity and bring it to the market, in order to develop products or services to improve the day-to-day life, to create further innovation and to generate returns to be reinvested in the academic research activity.
The TTO team holds expertise in mechanics, in chemistry, in architecture, in electronics, in physics and in bioengineering as well as in economics, in management and in law. They provides researchers with the professional support needed at every stage of the technology transfer process as well as interface with industries to find possible exploitation and collaboration routes.
