Strategic programmes
Politecnico has established strategic programmes aiming to guarantee lifelong learning opportunities for all, provide methodological support for primary and secondary schools, and support first generation students. Additionally, an experimental programme of non-curricular teaching activities has also been designed for students.

POK - Polimi Open Knowledge: the MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) portal; all the courses are free of charge and open to all.
Enter a Classroom: more than 20 lessons uploaded onto Polimi YouTube channel so as to make them widely available on demand for dissemination purposes.

Fashion SEEDS – Fashion Societal, Economic & Environmental Design-led Sustainability
This project, developed at the Department of Design, aims to provide guidelines and material for the implementation/development of the BA/MA curricula in Sustainable Fashion Design, aligning them with the sustainable skills in demand in the sector as well as the employment prospects of the global industry.

Capacity building for safeguarding Asmara’s historic urban environment
This project, carried out at the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies, has the objective of improving the capabilities of local workers (engineers, architects, geologists, surveyors, archaeologists, etc.) through advanced training courses on the conservation of the architectural heritage of the 20th century in Asmara and its local area.
