Description of the initiative
SELECTION and PROCEDURE:
The selection of participants will take place through the presentation of CV and portfolio.
The call is addressed to the students of the Master's Degree, who will carry out a focusing and research activity during the first week, preparatory to a subsequent phase of concept generation and product development that they will carry out in the two subesquent weeks.
In addition to the research and project activities, the role of the students of the Master's will be that of mentors, towards the students of the Bachelor Degree - involved in a curricular workshop on the same topic - with whom they will work closely in the second week. Mixed working teams will be set up and each group will have to develop original product projects, some of which selected to a possible serial production.
The workshop takes place in the classroom with compulsory attendance. Exceptionally and only for some activities, students will be able to follow the activities remotely, through prior communication and prior authorization from the professors.
However, the presence remains compulsory on the occasions of launch, closure of the workshop, as well as during lessons and planning reviews. Also in this case it will be possible to grant, but only exceptionally, remote participation, but only in case of real need and with the authorization of the teachers.
WORKSHOP TOPIC:
The aim of the workshop is the project of iconic objects, aimed to empathize the mission and work of CONAI, the National Packaging Consortium, engaged in the recovery of packaging materials: steel, aluminum, paper and cardboard, wood, plastic / bioplastics, glass. The design of the products also includes the definition of a strategy that determines the functions of the product, any associated service components, and the methods of distribution and communication of the product. The aim of the project is to make the activities and services offered by this consortium understandable and evident, giving them visibility through products of "design", therefore through the physicality of tangible goods, making them as icons and therefore physical, material representation of brand and CONAI's values and its daily commitment towards the environment. Obviously the products will be as sustainable as possible and also represent, more generally, the values of the Circular Economy.
REWARDS:
All the students of the master's degree who will be selected and will participate in the workshop, in addition to the 3 credits, will receive an attendance fee.
Particularly deserving projects will also receive a mention and will be the subject of an official award CONAI's ceremony. Some of these projects may also be selected for a possible production in small or large series and will receive, for this reason, an additional fee related to the purchase of the rights of use.
The selection of the winning projects will take place at the sole discretion of the CONAI and the professors.
