When to register for the test

The information available in this page refers to the 2023/2024 a.y.
The admission modalities for the 2024/2025 a.y. will be published by the end of May 2024.

 

The ARCHED Test for the 2023/24 academic year will be held on Wednesday 26 July 2023.

The test will grant admission to the Architecture programmes at Politecnico di Milano and will take place on a single date only.

The procedure and contents of the admission test for the Laurea and single-cycle Laurea Magistrale programmes for the specific of discipline of architect are governed by Italian Ministerial Decree no. 451 of 08 May 2023 and its annexes.

When to register for the test

You can register for the ARCHED test between 14:00 (CET) on 18 May 2023 and 14:00 (CET) on 19 July 2023.

To register for the ARCHED TEST, you must first create an account on Politecnico di Milano’s Online Services.
Once you have received your person code and password, log in to your personal account and go to: ‘Laurea (equivalent to a Bachelor of Science) and five-year single-cycle programmes: entrance or recovery tests and enrolment > Test Registration

ITALIAN LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY

To be admitted on to the entrance test held in Italian you will have to prove your proficiency to enrol in the courses taught in Italian language.

This proficiency can be demonstrated by taking a language test organised by CISIA Consorzio Interuniversitario Sistemi Integrati per l'Accesso, which will take place remotely on 5 July 2023.

All students who have completed registration for the admission test by 30 June 2023 will be automatically registered for the Italian proficiency test. The test pass mark is a proficiency level of A2 or above.

Alternatively, you may prove your Italian language proficiency by producing a CLIQ (Certificazione Lingua Italiana di Qualità) certificate of at least A2 level, to be sent to the International Students Office (contacts) no later than  19 July 2023.

The knowledge of the Italian language is not required only for students who have indicated exclusively courses in English during the registration to the entrance test.

PLEASE NOTE: students who have not achieved the minimum score of the Italian language test or who have not submitted a valid certificate by the deadline above, will not be admitted to sit the entrance test.
