Description
The course consists of one or two weekly meetings of three or four hours, spread over three months for a total of 60 hours. After a theoretical framework of the problem and an overview of current legislation, the course takes a purely practical approach to allow participants to familiarize themselves with the operating techniques. Particular attention will be paid to the pre-intervention diagnosis, functional to the design of the renovation on the built. It will analyse how energy efficiency actions can be harmonised with remediation actions. A part of the course is dedicated to group work on case studies, under the supervision of a tutor. The course ends with an experimental part, in which the students will work on the instrumentation, carrying out measurements in a site to be restored. Subsequently they will plan the reorganization, identifying and sizing the mitigating interventions. The presentation and discussion of the project constitute the final test of the course, in addition to passing a multiple choice test, to verify the theoretical knowledge.
Educational project
The aim of the course is to train the professional figure of Expert in Remediation Radon. The entry into force of Legislative Decree 101/20 has identified this new figure that must be able to conduct an effective rehabilitation, in the face of a situation of exceeding the reference level of radon in the workplace and housing, for the mitigation of radon exposure risk. At the end of the training, the student will master the aspects of design, implementation, management, control and maintenance of corrective actions to reduce the concentration of radon activity in buildings in accordance with the provisions of Annex II of Legislative Decree 101/20.
Requirements
The course is mainly addressed to Engineers, Architects and Surveyors, who are the professionals identified by D. Lgs. 101/20 as radon remediation experts. These subjects are only authorized following a 60-hour university course. Attendance is also open to all professionals with a specific interest in the radon problem.
